Helionix Designs consists of a multi disciplinary professional team responding to the urgent challenges we all face in seeking to live more healthy and sustainable lives. The architectural and ecological design team are engaged with a range of development projects demonstrating that low carbon living within the mainstream commercial world is both personally compelling and financially rewarding.

The group, founded in 1998 and initially focused on research and development of new technologies and protocols in the field of healthy & sustainable living, is primarily undertaking its design and development work in the County of Kent. Team members currently operate in partnership with University based architects and engineers in seeking out the optimum sustainability solutions for individual projects. They regard nature as their key inspiration and mentor for their design work and, as a matter of course, collaborate with other designers and building professionals in delivering solutions which deliver a low carbon or preferably a carbon positive outcome. ‘Eco tourism’ provides a key commercial theme for the team’s Kent development projects.

The team’s work is focused within three core areas:

1. Sustainability Master Planning - formulating sustainability strategies for new development projects.
2. Project Design – Providing innovative and viable design solutions for the low carbon economy – for commercial, residential, integrated and infrastructure projects.
3. Project Management – including partnering with regional & national agencies and academic institutions on delivering optimum sustainability solutions.

‘Helionix (Helionics)’ – What does the name signify?

It represents the combination of -- Sun (Light) ~ Helios and Treatment / Process / Design (suffix) ~ ics / ix.

Thus the team’s architectural solutions are always “Designed with / through solar based energy rather than fossil based energy.
